I've created a venn diagram on a flipchart. I'm looking to find out how make text uneditable. I've locked down the containers I've created, but when students click on the text to drag it to the appropriate container, the text sometimes become editable. Just becomes a hassle...I've tried locking the text (just can't move it then) and looking at the restrictors, but there doesn't seem to be a way of keeping the text "movable" while preventing the edit panel from poping up if you don't click the text just right.

Put the text in a box and then group the two together. You can make the box invisible if you don't want to be able to see it. To be honest you could actually just have an invisible object grouped with the text and make it really small. As soon as you use the grouped function, edit text is no longer an option +wave+[clap]

Good one Margaret. I was trying to figure that out. What does Teacher Lock do? I've never used that and was going to suggest it.

It locks the toolbar so you cannot get onto the desktop in AP....

Thanks for the response...nice work around. I wish they could make it a little easier to do something like this. The logical thing would be using the design button to make the text editable or not. Thanks!

And another way would be to take a camera image of each word. (I love my camera!)

Yes, and using the camera tool on text has another added bonus!

FONTS. :eek:

Sometimes, I really want a cool font and can't share my "flip" with others because they don't/might not have that font and it would look well, not how I had planned. :(

So sometimes, I do use the camera tool for words so I can be more creative! {}

This website has tons of cool options for creating graphics of text and buttons. I use this regularly (plus they have 100's of fun fonts! [clap]
