I've been showing off my ActiVote Certificate at school today, Alex!
The tutorials are excellent, and it's so useful to be able to print a summary of each section of the course. The test is good too, I really had to think about the answers.
Felt so much more confident running a AV session with a lively class today.
Thank you, Promethean! [clap]

Hi everyone,http://www.prometheanplanet.com/forum/images/icons/icon5.gif
I was excited to learn Study Island has partnered with Promethean to allow the activexpression pads to work in sync with sudy island. However, I have been unable to get the pads recognized by the software in study Island. Has anyone else found this problem and the solution? The tech people from SI have yet to figure out why its not working.
Thanks,
Rodney

Loved the tutorials! My only problem has been using the "Learner Response Devices User Guide." In both the online copy and the download copy directly linked below it, the pagination is wrong (all are p. 5) and some of the pages end with dangling text. I'm not sure how much is missing, but it's frustrating. For example, the "Renaming ActivExpression Devices" page ends with "with the prefix and". The next page is a new one called "Questions". The second page of "Viewing Your Voting Results" is another, and the following page makes no sense to me at all. Just thought I'd point it out!

The tutorials sound good. Pdboyer, in answer to your question, for good written instructions and detailed reference information, and easy to follow, on the Activotes and expressions, check out the Mastering Activinspire book, from Warner. The last several chapters are on the learning response systems, and are done well, with good explanations and lots of pictures of what you're seeing. Those are probably the chapters I've gone to the most.

How do you get hold of the Mastering ActivInspire Handbook - Warner?

I am an ActivInspire user, I have never used (ActivStudio or) the Expressions software to ask questions with expressions. I see some resources in the LRS course referring to the Expressions software. Do I need to have that software or can I conduct the same questioning with ActivInspire?
Thanks in Advance!

Prior to ActivInspire, "Expression" was the software needed to use the Activexpression devices. Now that ActivInspire is out, this Activexpression functionality is integrated so Expression is no longer necessary at all. It was NOT integrated in Activstudio or Activprimary.
