Do you have cds that came with your textbooks? I have found in our district that for the last few years a supplemental set of cds usually comes with the set of textbooks. On those cds is an application, Examview. Examview allows you to quickly build a test using questions from a test bank and present it as a paper/pencil test or with the right setup as an online test.
But the really cool thing is once your test is made you can export it as an XML file. Then in ActivInspire choose file>import>ExamView XML File. You will have a flip chart ready to go with votes or expressions, one page per question. The formatting is not the greatest but easily fixed up.
I draw box around all the text with the select (arrow) tool then click the increase object size button in the marque tool box until it is as large as I want. Then I move all the text to the middle of the page (if you don't the voting window will cover up the question), and throw in a background.
Very quickly you have made a great test.
I am thinking other test making software would work. I have only used ExamView.
Anyone else had experience with others?
