I'm hoping it's OK to post a quick plug for these three great free events organised by the educational community for BETT week.
We've been lucky enough to secure the use of the Apex Hall to run three evening events during the week of BETT (6pm start)
Wed 13 Jan - TEDxOrenda - inspirational speakers : http://tedxorenda.eventbrite.com/
Thurs 14 Jan - Amplified - a barcamp-style unconference : http://amplified10.eventbrite.com/
Fri 15th Jan - Teachmeet - teachers sharing great uses of ICT: http://teachmeet.pbworks.com/TeachMeet-BETT-2010-Friday-Session
All the events are free - please register in advance via the websites above.
if you are going to BETT already - maybe plan to stick around one evening to attend one of the events. If you are not already attending BETT but are local then please come along. It would make entry easier if you register for the BETT show as well.
As well as those events - companies such as Promethean (thanks again!) have graciously given up some of their stand time for TeachMeet Takeover - where teachers can use the time to share the exciting things they are doing in the classroom - to find out what that's about, go here http://teachmeet.pbworks.com/TeachMeet-Takeover
Thanks to Promethean for sponsoring some of these events - and I hope we see a lot of people attending.
Again, these are free events, run by the educational community for the educational community.
Thanks again for letting me post this here.
