Hi Jacki,
This jigsaw application was put together as a technology demonstrator for ActivArena. We’re looking towards releasing this to the community along with other demonstrator Arena apps early next year.

In the meantime, use your own photo/graphic/art work to make a puzzle at http://www.flash-gear.com/puzzle
and then insert a media link to it in your flipchart.

I went to the site, followed the directions and got a blank page. Any suggestions?

I found this website recently, http://allstarpuzzles.com/. It features different types of puzzles, but you may be interested in clicking on picture puzzle > make your own. Once generated, the the link is good for about a month.

HI, I read your post and it interested me. So I sat down and tried to make some zigsaw puzzles. Enclosed is a flipchart I made to show you my methods. I hope it helps until the Resources are ready.

Your directions are great and I can't wait to try the jigsaw.

In your last example, you used rectangular pieces. If you remove one piece, you would have one of those puzzles that you slide around the pieces to try to put them in the correct order to make the picture. You would need to have large thin rectangles with the block property that are locked down to keep the pieces inside the original shape. You would also add the block property to each of the picture rectangles to keep the pieces from overlapping.
