When you are training, do you provide your "students" with a copy of the flipchart you are presenting?

I tend to share the training flipcharts from the planet when training others and show them how to acquire the same flipcharts themselves. I also encourage them to join the forum for more ideas.

Not usually.
When I do a basic training, everything we need is in the program or on the planet.

When I am doing an advanced training, I do provide some resources that I would like my participants to use when creating flipcharts. I provide a video file, a couple of sound files, and a PowerPoint. That way I know each participant has what I need them to use and we don't waste time trying to get something from the computer or internet.

Then when we are all done, they have everything in their flipchart.

I always provide a copy of the flipchart I am using in a training. Ideally the trainee has a laptop/computer to work on at the same time I'm working. They can play and try to do the things I am showing them. I find participants retain more an appreciate the practice of hands-on training. Also - the flipchart can be designed so it is an ongoing resource for trainees even after the training.

I'm working on a training this week and I'll be giving participants a flipchart that covers what we'll cover but also has a resources page with links embedded to a workshop wiki and to Promethean Planet.

This is the way I like to do it as well. Participants seem to be more engaged if they have their laptop with them.
