Hello,
I just joined this community and have a simple question. I have a smartboard, will the lessons shared here work for me? Or if not how can I adjust them to work for me?

Hi Beth and welcome to the forum.
You can certainly use our lessons (or flipcharts as we call them) on a SMARTboard.
However you will find that your SMART Notebook software will not be able to open the majority of our flipcharts so your best solution will be to install ActivInspire, the Promethean software which runs well on a SMARTboard.
The ActivInspire Personal Edition is free to you and this can open all the lessons on our forum. You can also purchase the Professional Edition if you wish.

Hope someone can help. New job, missing my Promethean board. Smart board is to be installed in a couple of days. At work, i don't have 'permission' to download/install new software, so my attemps at downloading Activinspire Personal on to my Mac there have failed miserably. ICT co-ordinator not really very helpful.
Tonight at home I've downloaded the Mac version of Activinspire Personal on to my pen drive. Can anyone give me advice on how to get this downloaded (and working) onto my Mac at work.
I've got so many Promethean flipcharts i am just dying to use again.
Will they work as they did on my Promethean board - what about the pen??? does it work by touch on the smart board?

The ActivInspire software and flipcharts on Planet should run on any computer no matter what it is attached to, Promethean, Smart, or just a projector. Of course the Smartboard would not use an Activpen so you can use your finger or their stylus. Be attention that flash files that require "hovering" may not work nor will the software "tooltips" just because the technology is different.

Maybe others who are using ActivInspire on a Smartboard can pitch in and give some advice.

I don't see why not (unless it's a matter of legal licensing from the part of Smart). You can run any application on an Activboard.
