Hi B. Hopkins,

You will need to click on the little man on the toolbox(does he have a name...if not, let's name him!!!)

Click on Flipchart

Click on Import.

PPT converter

Follow the menus to open the ppt and save it as a flipchart

Click on Start

It will convert and ask if you want to view the created flipchart....

Good Luck!!!

...or you could drag each slide over individually from Powerpoint....whichever you choose....

Have you checked out the discussion back in June on the Product request forum about Power Point importing?

Hey Bill,

I call him the dancing man, however, I think he is supposed to be the Promethean Man. BUT with my Primary/Elementary hat on when using ACTIVPrimary, and going into "Design Mode" I say..... Click on the dancing man and then click on his friend (for those of you who don't know - his friend is another Promethean Man :D )

My colleagues from Secondary or using ACTIVstudio think me gently bizarre! BUT it works for me [clap]

Margaret,

I have been teaching my wife about how to use AS2 and she gets a kick out of the little man as well...

Our school district is a Macintosh district...does the mac version of the software have the "promethean/dancing/little man" as well?

I'm sorry Jeremy, :(
I was joking about the Promethean Man on the MAC. No there really isn't a dancing man on the MAC interface, There is a Menu icon on the ACTIVstudio2 for MAC and a Preferences type Cogwheel on ACTIVprimary 2 for MAC. Sorry if this has caused confusion.
I will be serious from now on!
The Promethean man (or Dancing Man) is actually representative of Prometheus. In the original logo he is holding the fiery globe aloft, symbolising the myth that he stole fire from the Gods and brought it to the earth.

No problem- I dodn't hink so.

We all got a bit confused when your trainer came to school and used a PC on our boards!

Can you please give specific instructions as to how I can import a powerpoint presentation into a flipchart?

It might be easier to use the Help menu in AS2 (the ? in the top right-hand corner) - that way you can print the instructions to use while you work through the process. OR you could print out previous postings in this thread. Once you get to the Wizard it takes you through the steps.

Doing it this way "flattens" all the images and text into a single image on the Flipchart page.
If you do want the items separately so you can move them in the Flipchart, I suggest you
have the Powerpoint (in editing mode) and a blank Flipchart open side by side. Then you can select and copy each item across into the flipchart page. You can select and copy text from a text box then use the Text tool in the Flipchart and Paste the text in if you want to be able to edit the text.
The images are much clearer if you do it this way as you are bringing in the image file rather than a screenshot.
