I have tried the Activtablet and it works perfectly. The watermark is removed and I have full functionality. I was wondering if I can use any tablet and still have this functionality or does it have to be a promethean tablet?

Is it a Promethean tablet? if it is, make sure you have loaded the software that came with the tablet.

That's why i asked my original question. I was curious to find out whether I am restricted to Promethean tablets or can i use any tablet (to remove the watermark)

as far as I know, only that driver for that tablet will remove the watermark and act as promethean hardware. the driver isnt for use with other tablets.

Thanks Maragret...that doesn't get it done, yet.

Do I actually have to have the ACTIVdriver installed as well....

I installed the tablet driver...

I plugged in the tablet....

The watermark is still there.....

Oh well..

See you in about 6 or 7 weeks!!!

What watermark??? I am starting to write a grant for some of these tablets... but if I can find cheaper wireless tablets that do the same thing, then I'll go with those. I don't see any reason why a different tablet would not work... but your comments about a watermark worry me. Help??

Note the date of the last post in this thread (2005). Formerly, the software would display a "watermark" if the software was launched using non-Promethean hardware (piracy protection, I imagine). I haven't seen that for years! [clap]
