My district is trying to figure out the best way to give everyone the resource packs. I put all of them on my computer, but it took forever. I know that you have to import each pack individually; however, I tried something new. I copied the resource packs folder by going:
Macintosh HD--Users--Shared--Promethean--Activinspire Resources.
I copied this entire folder, which consisted of all the imported resource packs, onto my external HD. I then went to another teacher's computer and replaced their Activinspire Resources Folder with the one on my HD (I followed the same path as above). Then I opened AI to see if I could view the resources. I could if I opened the resource browser, selected Shared, and select "browse to open another folder". I could then follow the path from above and select the Activinspire Resouces folder. It would then allow me access all of the resources inside that folder. However, if I select My Resources and then reselect Shared Resources, I have to repeat the process of opening up the Activinspire Resources folder to see all of the resources.
I am just looking for a way to help get the teachers up and running in my district. Is it possible to copy and paste the imported resources packs from one computer onto another, but make it so that they are always visible when you select the shared resources? I don't know what it is on a PC, so maybe this is Mac specific? I know you can put the software on the network, but our district chose to do in on each computer individually.
Would if work to go to Main Menu--View--Customize and then change the locations of the Shared Resources? Would that solve my problem.
Any ideas? Please let me know if you need further information.:confused:
