The zone alarm spyware detecting program detects something in AS2 and deletes it. So be careful if you use it.

I will explain what Delaware does.
It is the extra piece of programming software we use to integrate into visual basic that gives functions that visual basic cannot. It performs functions such as:
- Processing messages from ACTIVboard to the ACTIVote system
- allowing ACTIVmarker to work directly into Office applications
- on-screen keyboard into other apps
- handwriting recognition into other apps
- glass mode desktop annotation
This file is in no way any form of spyware.

In no way did I mean to imply that AS2 had spyware involved. I suspected that it had to do with desktop overlays etc...
My post was meant to make sure that others learn from my mistake. When I quarintined the so called spyware, I could not then use AS2.
I had to reload and viola, I was ready to go. I am a bit disappointed in Zone Alarm and this new problem with them....
Not at all diappointed with AS2! :D

Why are you using ZoneAlarm, anyway?!!!!!!!
Grisoft AVG anti-virus
Sygate personal firewall
Lavasoft ad-aware personal se
Spybot: search & destroy
those are my personal favourites. :)

I migrated to Zone Alarm because of their firewall. It is on my personal computers. I can't stand Norton and McAfee.
I Love spy Bot and AdAware. We used to use Grisoft AVG but at school, our network now uses sophos.
I might switch back to AVG on my personal machines...getting tired of Zone Alarm...
I see that Sygate was acquired by Norton. I'll try it and hope that Norton doesn't change it!!!

Just in case you're struggling to find the free version of the Sygate Firewall - their site seems to hide the fact that there is a free version!

This is the standard response to people with spyware/delaware questions.

Not really complaining, just telling everybody so they will know if it happens to somebody that they work with!
Have a great day!!
