I'm sure in the past I clicked on Desktop Annotate > Used Area Snapshot > to Current page... and it saved into my Current page (of my current Flipchart ie: the only one I have open).
Instead, at the moment ActivInspire is creating a new flipchart called 'Desktop Flipchart'.
Has something changed in Preferences? I can't find it.
Thankyou,
Brad.

Hi Brad,
You would likely want to use the feature called "Desktop Tools."
The icon is near the Annotate icon.
This will minimize your Inspire window and give you a small "wheel" that has several options on it. One of the options is to take various types of snapshots, which seems to be what you are looking for. Desktop annotate will literally put a digital transparency over your desktop.
With "Tools" you don't get the option to draw on the page, but rather manipulate it in other ways.
A hint: sometimes the desktop annotate wheel may be camouflaged on the page, if Inspire minimizes, its there, just hunt for it.

Thanks Dave. I regularly use Desktop tools but I want to be able to draw over a webpage then grab a screen shot of that area.
For instance; the teacher has found an image/diagram on the net. They're conducting a lesson within the Flipchart, then would like to switch to Firefox, draw over it, then paste that explanation into the current Flipchart.
I'm sure I've done it before. Maybe not. I would've thought it would be a common task?

Not quite so straight forward as it was in Studio - here's a way to achieve it though:
1) Make sure the camera tool is on your toolbar
2) Go the desktop annotate tool
3) Annotate the desktop as required
4) Use the camera tool to take a snapshot - select the snapahot to clipboard option
5) Go back to your normal flipchart and paste in the screenshot from the clipboard.
