Board not responding to pens

When I am in desktop annotation, my board won't respond to my pens even though I can still open flipcharts and write with the mouse on my laptop. I'm thinking it is some kind of a connection problem. Has this happened to anyone else? Any advice on how to correct the problem?

If you've not been having any problems before, it should be something fairly simple.

Is the power light on in the top left corner of the board? If not, the board needs plugging in.

Is the USB / serial cable connected to the computer?

Have you tried a different pen with the board?
