View Full Version : How do the students view my Flipcharts?

I see there's a Flipchart Viewer for Mac but it takes me to a page for 'Mac Activstudio Flipchart Viewer'.

I'm using ActivInspire not Activstudio. What software do I download for the students to simply view my flipcharts?

Also: I used Activinspire a few months ago and the interface looked quite different to the one I've just downloaded. The new one looks like it's aimed at infants but this is a high school. Did I download the wrong version?

Another question I have is: I just tried the 'Publish' option but all it did was export another .flipchart file. Whats the difference between a Published Flipchart file and 'Saving As a .flipchart file?

Thanks,
Brad.

PS: I really think your Help files & Knowledgebase could do with an overhaul.

Hi Brad,
The flipchart viewer was created ass a static viewer only for flipcharts. We now have a better option in the free personal edition of Inspire. Anyone can download it and it has some great features that still leave the flipcharts interactive for students. The DL link is on Planet

partII
You are using the Primary skin of Inspire.
Go to Dashboard (View>Dashboard)
Configure tab
uncheck the Primary box

PartIII
The publish option changes permissions and such for those wishing to distribute flipcharts. This can have to do with copyrighted material or for teachers wishing to share things that students cannot easily manipulate. Perhaps a misnomer, Publish does not actually publish the document for you.

As for the help files, we appreciate feedback. Any specifics you can offer?
