I very much miss having a keyboard shortcut available for the Select tool in Inspire. I still reach for the old one I used in Studio. I may have created that one myself but this is not an option in Inspire because "Select" is not listed under Tools. When I am working on my MacBook, it is futzy to have to use the touchpad to hit the Select button. I much prefer to use the keys. Is this somethig that can be considered for a future release?

HI Tom --
Like you, I also created a bunch of keyboard shortcut for Activstudio and I was sad when the ability to do that went away in Inspire. :(. Good news though - if you hit the Escape key, that will take you back to the Select tool.[clap][clap]

Oh my gosh, June, I only just found your reply! I am thrilled! What a sad life I live that this news should bring me so much joy. ;)
How did you ever discover it?

The little things excite me too!:p
When you look on the menus, to the right of each item you'll see its keyboard shortcut. There are a lot of them! It did take me a while to figure out that the funny looking symbol was for the escape key though.

Are you on a PC by any chance? On my Mac I don't recall seeing any reference to a return to Select in the menus, but I may have missed it. Using the Esc key functions a little differently than my old AS3 shortcut in that I can't have a text box open for it to work. Other shortcuts won't work when the text tool is open: view browsers, page turn, etc. Is it this way for you, too?
