Hi guys,

I updated to the latest file and have had some problems. When I updated my lappy, the toolbox only showed partially. I uninstalled, reinstalled 307 and reinstalled the new patch and everything was fine.

Today, same problem with my desktop machine, only this will not work. I was updating from 2.0.345.

Any Ideas?

When I get to a T-1 connection tomorrow I will send a screenshot of what happened....

Thanks,

Bill

Hi

This is a problem with the upgrade when the toolbox is orientated to the left. The first time it is run after the upgrade most of the buttons are missing. If you then close and restart PE it should be ok, also if you just change the toolbox orientation it will sort itself out.

If the toolbox is orientated vertically or to the right before the upgrade this problem won't occur.

Hope this helps

Oh...I will try that when I get home. Once the update has opened I have to do the three key salute to turn AS2 off. I will install 3.07 then change the orientation, then update. Thanks!!!

Sharon, are you speaking of the flipchart from the contest. Not sure what Promethean is going to do with it and wheere they are going to post it. I will attach it if I have Promethean's permission....

Flipcharts are about to be posted on the US site - we are waiting for final sign off before posting these pages - should be tomorrow - I will post here when the pages are live.

How come when I try and download the flipcharts, Internet Explorer turns them into ZIP files? I right-click on (say)
http://www.Prometheanworld.com/n-america/en/assets/downloads/winning_flipcharts/Ocean%20Life.flp
and select "save to disk", but when it gets to my hard drive, it's called "Ocean Life.zip".

Interestingly, if I open it with WinZip, it opens just fine, but there's not a flipchart file in there, there's just a bunch of things called 1.fpg, 1.thm, 2.fpg, 2.thm, etc, etc. If I rename it to "Ocean Life.flp", then it does open okay in ActivStudio, though.

Running it in IE5 (rather than IE6), it downloads as type ".zip file", but this time I get "Ocean Life.flp.zip" as the end result. Firefox on Windows does the right thing, ie it downloads as ".flp".

Trying on a Mac, just because I'm curious now, I get the right thing with Firefox, but with Safari it turns into ...flp.txt.

I think the Content-Type: for those files isn't being set properly; IE is guessing that they're ZIP files because the first two bytes are PK, Firefox isn't doing anything, and Safari is guessing it's a text file because it hasn't been told anything different. You should probably let your web folks know about that, it's pretty confusing if you don't know what to do..
