I teach Chemistry in High School.
I was very impressed by the few pre-loaded activities in swf format for chemistry in the resource library.
How can I create my own activities?? :o)

Hi
You need to know how to program in Flash which is no easy thing I am afraid

There are programs meant to simplify it though.

I've used a program called Opus Pro to create Flash bits and pieces. Saving them into the ACTIVities folder lets them be viewed through the resource manager 'thingy' and opend in AS2.

Some of thema re here:

If I may be excused the 'plug'. I'm sure the mods will let me know if it's inappropriate.

This isn't in Flash, but it gives an idea for using layers in a flipchart page for Chemistry. In this example, pupils can move the elements which they think are noble gases into the circle - but look at what happens to the others!

Try it and see. Idea can be adapted to a variety of uses and created with images as well as with text.

All the Best

Thanks Ross.
Yes using the layer feature of AS2 works well for that example of periodic table.

Promethean USA has invited me in December to pilot the AS Developer Edition.
I am excited, since this has the possibility of creating activities and animation using a GUI interface.
