I have been trying to insert a page (a word search puzzle) into a flip chart to make it interactive. When I copy/paste, I don't get the whole word search. When I insert the link-the word search is not interactive. Can anyone help me? Thanks

Are you trying to link to a specific website or are you wanting to insert the activity itself into the flipchart?

Do you have this as a file (like a .swf)?

Can you send me a link to the web page and I'll see what it looks like?

Ok, I see it. Do you use ActivInspire or Activstudio. I can recreate this for you in either version and show you how I did it.

OK, I just used the camera tool and took three screenshots. I did it in three as the page was long and a flipchart is wide.
I also added a background from the Fall Backgrounds Resource Pack.

Finally, I locked each of the three images onto the flipchart page so they won't move around if a student accidentally uses the marquee/arrow tool instead of the highlighter or pencil tool.
Hope this helps! It should open in either ActivStudio or ActivInspire.

There are a few ways to do that. Here are just a couple:
From menu choose Insert>Link>Website
Another way would be to apply an action to an object that links to a website.
Both options are on the screenshot I attached.
Hope this helps.

SnagIt is great software that allows you to take a picture of WHATEVER you want, copy it to the clipboard, and paste it into your flipchart. Then you can resize it as you like. http://www.techsmith.com/. Education price of $37.95.

Does this program have any advantages over the Inspire Camera Tool used with the Desktop Tools mode.
To me, paying for something that I can do with existing tools does not appeal.

SnagIt is a strong editing program for copied images. You can easily get special effects like torn edges, sepia and highlighted areas like a bright circle on a dimmed image. You can get dropdown menus and delayed copies, and much more. If you can do those at all with the Promethean camera feature, it would be difficult. If you go to the web link I gave earlier, you can get a trial version and check it out. There may well be other programs as good, but I'm so happy with this one I haven't looked.
