Using templates

I am new to Activinspire - Please advise: How do you get rid of annotations on templates without wiping out all of the background. Another example - when I pull up a game from a resource pack and kids use it - such as tic tac toe on a pumpkin - I erase annotations and wipe out the tic tac toe grid? I know it is something simple, I just don't know what. Can someone clue me in?

If I've understood correctly, I think you just need to use the reset button on the tool bar to put your flipchart page back to its original state.
