A recent request for alignment tools and a Scientific Calculator seemed to focus exclusively on the latter, so I thought I'd ask for the former again. In development, these alignment tools are really important (as well as some even dispersal tools). Currently I'm drawing thin red lines all over the place and doing it by eye.

Hi

In my early days of "playing" with the software I was often told "there is a good workaround".

Well for this one: you could add a grid from the Grids Library and then you could snap to grid and then you could mask the fact that you have a grid in place. You do this by double clicking on the page once you have added it and you can also alter the scale/size of the grid by clicking on the "plus" or "minus" sign.

Hope this helps....

This is an ideal way to line up objects vertically, horizontally or even diagonally!

Further to Margaret's idea, without using the snap to grid and mask function, just use the grid to line up the objects. When you're satisfied then clear the grid using the washer bottle tool. Sorry for the non technical langauage!

David,

I chuckled because my wife and I have all kinds of non-technical terms for the buttons.

It helps her understand and where to go to...

I also use the grid then erase it later!!
