View Full Version : Activexpression problem with new update

Ever since I updated my Activinspire with the new update, everytime I plug in my activexpression HUB, it gives me the message saying that my hardware is not set up correctly... although I didn't change anything to my hub or expressions - i just installed the new update.
Now, when I try to use voting, it doesn't give me the list of devices on the top of my screen when I click on "vote". It's just a blank white box... the students are still able to vote however and the votes are tabulated, I just dont see the numbers of the devices lighting up when they answer....

What is the driver version on your computer?
Are you on a mac or pc?

I am on a MAC
The driver... I think it is 5.2.7

This symptom could be related to what we have been seeing - i.g. some expressions do not show up as active devices (in the Voting Browser), but ActivManager says all the devices are still registered.

Our work-around is to make sure the hub is plugged in AFTER the user is logged in and BEFORE you launch Inspire.

For us, this makes all devices listed in the Voting Browser and available. There was no need to reregister the devices. Note that earlier versions of Inspire did allow a hub to be plugged/unplugged any time and have all the devices recognized by Inspire. We use only Macs on 10.5.8 (or maybe 10.5.6).
