hi +wave+
have recently had 8 promethean its installed with the large black framed board with the speakers built in and was wondering if any one knew what the ethernet network port was for and if tehy could give a good example of when it would be good to use it. thanks
Hi,
You could use the ethernet port of the projector to control the projector remotely through a web client.
The application of this is through Promethean's Activcommand Software.
It enables centralized control and maintainence of all projectors in the enterprise, including programming and scheduling automatic projector power on, power off, reports of bulb life, usage etc. Many schools have used this to save money on energy cost.
Here is the link to Activcommand Software.
