Has anyone found any issues with driving an ActivBoard with a Tablet PC?

I an running an Acer Travlemate C301 Tablet as my main PC, and have the ActivStudio software installed on it. It runs ok, until I try to open the ActivStudio on-screen keyboard, at which point my tablet freezes and refuses to accept any further input from the board. I'm asuming that there is some conflict between the Activ On Screen virtual keyboard and the Tablet's inbuilt virtual keyboard, but this is just an assumption. Anyone else experienced anything like this?

I'm also getting occasional freezing issues (not the whole OS, just the Activ Studio application)... how stable is this app? Is it known for freezing? Or is it likely to be the Tablet battling for digital ink supremacy?

Hi

Conflicts that you are experiencing I remember being flagged up as a result of Bill Gates' Service Pack 2 being installed - certainly with regard to the freezing of the keyboard.... but I am not a technical person at all :D

I would suggest that initially you ensure you are running with the latest version of AS2.

Hope this helps...

Hi

I have always had the option to "Use Keyboard Supplied with OS" ticked in the User Input section of Studio settings....

Apart from that, I have been using an Acer Travelmate tablet PC for over 12 months with no problems at all. I am running XP Tablet edition SP2 now and still have no problems.

I've only been using it for three days but my Toshiba Portege M200 is working well.

I had exactly this problem but without using the tablet. It kept feezing activestudio. The fix was ctr-alt-del followed by cancel. This was an ugly fix until I used the Windows on-screen keyboard instead. All is well now. I believe the activ on-screen keyboard is unstable.
