Can you please add the ability to enlarge or reduce the size of the ruler in Inspire. It would be nice to have more "inches" on the board. It would also be nice to be able to set the scale of the ruler down to an accurate representation so that an inch is really an inch.

Hi Tony,
Currently there is the ability to increase the length of the ruler as you know by hovering on the edge and dragging the ruler out.

To increase overall ruler size, the only way to do it is to use the page zoom function.

If your computer display screen resolution is set to 1024 x 768 then one inch on the ruler tool screen is exactly once inch on a real ruler. However if your screen resolution is not at this setting, the of course the dimensions will be slightly changed.

Exactly one inch on the monitor, or on the board as it is projected?

Hard to make it exactly one inch on the projected image on the board since image on a projector is magnified.
However on a projector, the dimensions will be proportional.
For example if a 1 inch object appears as 5 inches on the board, another object that is 2 inches will appear as10 inches on the board.

That is why I would like to have the ability to scale it. That way, students see an actual representation of an inch, cm, foot, etc. on the board when we measure.

Hi Tony,
You should put that as your feature request for Inspire..the ability to scale size of ruler and protractor....just like it was possible on Activstudio.

That link takes me to the ActivStudio feature request. If that is where I am supposed to place feature requests for Inspire, it would make more sense to forum users to have it labeled ActivInspire Feature Request. I'll drop my request there.

Is this another issue where size matters?

Most rulers are either 30 cm / 12 in long. It would be helpful to be able to start with a longer ruler on screen.
