I am trying to create a resource pack using Inspire. I can right click on the background and "add it to Library" no problems there, but when I go to the resource library the picture is blank. I looked in the actual file to see the file sizes and all are listed as 2k no near as large as it should be.
Any explanations?

Thanks

Is the image truly a background or it is an image that looks like it is a background? Do you want to post up a flipchart with the background in it and I can see for you...

I am taking a jpg and putting it on the background layer.

Here you go. Now your flipchart has three pages. The third page the flower image IS TRULY the background. It can now be added to the library as a background.

On your first page you had put the image of the flower ON the background LAYER but it was not a true background. So when you were adding the background to your library, it added "nothing" since there was no background.

To add an image as a background, you need to right click on a page and choose set background. Then navigate to the image you want for your background.

Hope this all makes sense. Been a long week!

Lisa,
Once you set the image as your background, if you want to add it to your resources, what do choose after Add to Resource Library? Do you add page, or add background?
Hope you have a good weekend.

If it is truly just a background, I'd add as background. Then if you are already working on a page and just want to change out the background it will add it as the background to that page.

If you add it as a page, and drag it back out, it will create a new page with that background.

Hope that makes sense.

Now that I have added backgrounds to the resource library. I want to share the resource pack on PrometheanPlanet. I can export to a resource pack no problem. But I can not find how to submit a resource pack, only a lesson. Any help?

You can send it to me or post it here. I can assist with getting it up on Planet for you.

Why can members not submit resource packs? It will not let me attach the file, something about a security token.

I don't know why there isn't a submission form for resource packs but I can assist you with getting it published. I would imagine it is because not that many teachers have requested to submit them but I have assisted those who wanted to do so. I'm not sure why it won't let you attach that file. I have posted resource packs to the forum before.

You are welcome to send it directly to my e-mail address as an attachment and I can get it up on Planet for you.
