I teach 1st grade and I only use Activotes.

Here is what I am trying to do....
I want to make questions using a template, assign them a correct answer, press the green "play" button on the toolbar, and have students respond.

Here is what I have tried...
I went to Insert, Question, I choose multiple choice (because that is what works for votes), inserted my question and assigned it a correct answer. When I went to use it in a lesson, I clicked the green "play" button and I got the message - "Question on current flipchart page is not supported by Activote devices."

Does anyone know if I can get this to work?!?! I appreciate the help!!

Maybe you chose more than one correct answer. I'm certainly not an expert on this but I think there is a setting that says number of responses (that I think should REALLY say number of correct responses.) Perhaps if you say more than 1, it thinks it is an Activexpression question because Activexpressions can have multiple correct answers.

Just a thought.

See screenshot.

Hi,
I know the reason you are getting this error.
Please make sure that the number of responses you have set for each question is "1" and the number of correct answers is just one.

Activotes can only handle a single response to a multiple choice question unlike Activexpression.
Let us know if this works.

This one does seem to trip us up - and once you know it is very obvious. Perhaps the screen could be reworded to indicate that multiple responses are only applicable to Expression devices. Maybe even an earlier screen could ask if the user is entering questions for votes or expressions and provide the appropriate options.

Just a thought...

I agree. I think the first question should be Activote or Activexpression and limit the choices based on that. Obviously Activexpressions can "answer" Activote questions, but not the inverse.

And I don't like that I see templates with numeric choices 1,2,3... for the labeling if I'm trying to do something for Activote since they just have A,B,C.

Additionally, you have to know to "scroll" down on the question entry page to type in your answer choices and many people (like me) don't do that and thus don't know where to enter the answers.
