Hi,

Does anyone know why when i try to capture a still from an imbedded video it comes up with a black square instead of the picture?

I know i have fixed this before, but cannot remember how!?

What kind of file type is the video? I've found .flv's work best.

I think it has to do with Hardware Acceleration. You need to lower it a little less than half way. On my PC it is under Display Properties > Settings > Advanced > Troubleshoot. Mine is set 2 above none.
Let us know if that fixes the problem.
The other thing to check is that the screen refresh rate is ste to 60 Hertz.

I went to Start > Control Panel > Display > Advanced > Troubleshoot and reduced my Hardware Acceleration to about half and this took care of the problem for me on a Windows XP.
