Hi,

I am using ActivInspire and am getting used to the new tools. On ActivStudio, I could drag a link to the third column to link to my Random Name generator program. I tried doing it in Inspire, but couldn't. Has that option been elimated? Can you add columns to the tool palette?

Thanks,
Linda

You can show the third column by clicking on the little menu icon and selecting Roll in (out).

You can also add shortcuts in the third column by going to your preferences, selecting the profile you want to change and selecting the User Defined Buttons Tab. Click add and you should be able to navigate to the application or item you want to add to the menu.

See screenshot.

Thank you - I appreciate the picture. I have one more question - I use the toolbox to annotate over my math program. My math program is interactive, too. I can't get the tool palette to stay open, when I have to switch to the arrow, so I can use the other program. I could do this in ActivStudio. Can you help?

Thanks,
Linda

Hi Linda,
Are you pressing the desktop annotate icon ?
It is the blue icon in the second row of the toolbar from the top.

Yes, I can annotate. I hit the blue thing and can write, but I am using two programs together. When I need to switch ActivInspire to pointer so I can move things in the other program - the toolbar goes away. I want just the toolbar from Activinspire to stay put.

Thanks,
Linda
