Dear colleagues,

I was doing a promethean search on twitter and I came upon an entry of a very excited individual. She claims that in a recent conference she was given word that we are able to use online tools and cell phones for use with our polls in Inspire. Although I desperately want to get a set of "clickers" for my classroom, our district is currently unable to buy them on demand. I am attempting to write a grant, but for the time being I do have four classroom computers. It would be awesome to have these computers able to work with the board via the net.

Any verification or dismissal from the users or admins would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I haven't heard of that. I have heard that the Activexpressions can be used with certain websites that have use the Promethean SDK.

Perhaps this is a third party application? Do you want to post a link?

Are you referring to:

As far as I know, Promethean is not in development with them, but I could be wrong. It is mildy useful and fun, but has little merit for formative or summative assessment. It does work well for informal polls and limited audience interaction.

I don't know about using cell phones, but could they have been talking about VR version of activotes and expressions? I know we are looking forward to the ActivExpressions VR to come out so that students can use their laptops just like Expressions.
