View Full Version : Annotations staying on page in ActivInspire
When I use Annotate over desktop on a single page it's great, but when I go through for example a Flash presentation of several pages when I go out of Annotate over desktop and turn the page over and I return to Annotate over desktop the previous annotation is still there. I don't want the previous annotations as they belong to a different page.
Please tell me I'm doing something wrong.
I get a similar problem with other programs so it's not a Flash problem.
Many thanks in anticipation.

When you annotate over desktop it creates a desktop flipchart, so to get a clean page just click the next page arrow on the toolbox and it will give you a clean desktop to annotate over.

Thanks for the reply.
I am showing a flash presentation. I annotate the page then I want to turn over to a new page. I get to the next page - I do not want the previous annotations on this page.
I can't work out how to do it.
I think I understand what you are trying to say.
Your flash presentation is several pages and you are trying to go to turn to the next page inside the flash presentation. Is this correct?
Since you are working in desktop annotation mode, here is what you should do.
Launch inspire and go to desktop annotation mode.
Start your flash presentation. Annotate over the first page of your flash presentation. Once your done with this, hit the "reset page" icon on Inspire toolbar. This will clear all annotations you made on the desktop flicphart. Now go to the next page of your flash presentation and annotate again.
Hope this helps.
I have attached a screenshot to show you where the reset icon is:

This is getting somewhere but I want a screenshot of the Flash page with my annotations saved automatically which will build up into a flip chart of my lesson including annotations on each page. I can then return to this and amend previous annotations and reflect on the lesson.
Many thanks for your help.

Not an easy one compared to AS3.
Easiest solution I can find is to use the 'desk top tools' icon (spanner and hammer over blue desktop - towards top of tool strip) This will take you back to your desktop with circular 'desk top tool' icon showing.
Start the flash presentation then use 'camera tool' from desk top tools and choose 'full screen snapshot' icon and then 'current page' and then 'return to flipchart' from circular 'desk top tools' and do your annotating there rather than on live flash.
Then repeat above to return to live flash and use camera tool/full screen snapshot/new page/return to flipchart and again annotate there. In this way you are building a flipchart of snapshots with annoations added that you can then save.
Not exactly simple! whereas AS3 would be doing the snapshotting automatically.
