Old ActivSlate and ActivInspire-Firmware?

Is anyone else having issues registering the older version of the slate (the ones not using the ActivHub) with the new ActivInspire. I have gotten several suggestions to register my slate in ActivStudio 3.5 first; however, this is not an option for me since my district has already removed 3.5 and installed Inspire. Surely, there is another way to make this work.

The ActivSlate will allow me to click on the Register button but when I go to enter the PIN letters,they will not appear on the slate. My current firmware version is V1.18

Is this a firmware issue? If so, how do I get it and fix it? I have 150 slates in my district that need this ASAP!

you don''t need to register it in anything else, but you do need to unplug the hub and then restart the software. You then need to register the slate. Then after you have it registered you can plug the hub back in. You may have to restart the software again, but then both should work. We have all old slates and votes as well and this is what we needed to do to fix the issue. It worked for us.

Thanks for the advice but I don't have a Hub plugged in at all-any other suggestions? I can click "register" on the Slate but it never gives me the "PIN" so I can enter the 3 letter code.

Hi!

it might be worth trying this with the ActivIsnpire 1.2 upgrade and the newer 5.2.7 ActivDriver. There were improvements made that may help here
