I've downloaded the full 1.2 version for windows (not upgrading from activStudio) and find no shared resources. Also missing are the help files (nothing happens when I press F1, and the 'help' file in My Documents is empty) Where can I get the help files, or at least a pdf ? Did I miss something when I downloaded the program ?:(

Hi!

Thats strange indeed. How large was the download? The full application download should be about 300MB ( saying 271mb here).

If you have that then its got all of the items you appear to be missing, so I would try running the installation again and see if it corrects the problem.

regards

John

I've just installed it on another PC and it's exactly the same: 0 item in the shared resources library + no help provided with F1 or the blue interrogation mark button.
I can't figure this out, the download (UK english) was 260mo as you said.
What I'm really trying to do is to make an object within the page act as a link taking me to another page of the same paperboard, so as to have a kind of menu on page one. Can you help me with this, for the time being?
Thanks.

For the link..

Select the object you wish to make the page action apply to.
Goto Actions Browser ( on the left of the screen in the browsers it looks like a spinning wheel)
In that list find the Another Page action
At the bottom type the page number your trying to turn to
press apply

This should create the required function for you ( you notice now when you hover your selected object it has a blue arrow.

Do the help and the Core resources appear in the installed list within the control panel add/remove programs section? If you run the installation again and select custom it should offer these to install, so I would try that too

hope this helps

I also lost all of my files in the Resource Browser after upgrading to 1.2.

After a quick search, I found all of them in:

My Documents > Inspire
The upgrade created this folder, not me. All of my existing resources were there. {}

I either lost some resources when I upgraded or I have too many resources I can't remember where to find things. Where are the interactive flipcharts - (i. e.electrical circuit) - where you can label the parts of the diagram? ????

[clap]Thanks John, it went fine when I reran the install : the help and resources parts were not ticked by default, and choosing the custom install did it. I wonder why it happened on both my PCs as I saw no other forum thread about it.
This time thought it told me it was unable to install the serial board driver, which sounds pretty serious. I'll keep my fingers crossed till tomorrow when I connect it to the board .

It is strange, the installer is designed to ignore parts it thinks you already have installed !

Hope everything goes well with the serial driver too :)
