I am extremely impressed with the PDF import facility in inspire v1.2 but it doesn't work quite the way I want it to.

I will be using it to regularly import exam papers but the exam papers I have are not quite to the right scale (if you see my attachment). If you import it, all the white area around the actual page shows up as probably you would expect. The page imports fine however, I cannot scroll down to view the entire page. Instead the page size in Inspire remains the same but I have to drag the image up. Is there a way around this?

Also is there a way to import the PDF but just the area needed?

I have over 100 exam papers and one way I think might work is to crop them in Adobe first then import them but that would take AGES :(

In cases like this it is best to use the "desktop annotate tool" which is often underused and ignored.
It is a great way to annotate on native PDF files.
You can set your page view on Adobe acrobat to any size....200% or 300% and annotate on it.

Even a custom size import of your pdf file will produce a small size view inside Inspire.

I printed your pdf as a pdf! Then the borders were removed and imported pages 1-5 "as size." So if you view by "fit to width" you can see the top of the page and scroll down if you need to see more.

See attached pdf and flipchart.
