A nifty trick for grouping objects, including annotations: use the select tool to drag a gray box over the items that you would like to group (it can even be part of the shape(s) ). You can then grag the group of items around the screen WITHOUT actually clicking on the "group" button! Once you tap the pen on the board outside of the group, it "ungroups" the items.
I was using a rectangle as "scrap paper" to make measurements on a chart, and using the pen to mark the measurements along the edge of the "scrap paper" shape. Before learning about this trick, I used the object browser to highlight and group the annotations with the shape to move them together to a measurement scale. (VERY messy!!) With this technique, I just drag a "selection box" over the items that I want to group and move. A colleague showed me this easy grouping technique, and I had to share it......hope it saves someone some time/effort!!! |
