No luck but then I don't use Powerpoint anyway.

I have Office 2007, but I have been using Powerpoints created in older versions. They are extremely large, but I have the same issues when trying to convert smaller ones. My goal is to convert all of my existing presentations (at least 500-600 slides) into ActivStudio, so I no longer have to use Powerpoint or switch back and forth and so I can make them more interactive. I was hoping that the updated converter would make that process quicker; however, it looks like I'm back to copying and pasting for now.
Thanks for the input, Michel

Hi Michel,
Unfortunately there has to be some elbow grease invested after the import is made from Powerpoint to Activstudio. Avoid importing a 500 slide Powerpoint into a single flipchart file. Try to chunk them up into several flipcharts. Also when importing from Powerpoint, try to use the option that imports them into several separate objects instead of a single object. At least now you are at a starting point where you are not starting from a blank Flipchart.

Thanks . . . kind of what I was afraid of. I actually have become pretty adept at copying and pasting from Powerpoint slide to flipchart page, and at this point it seems to involve a little bit less elbow grease. I look for the updated converter to be ready about the time I'm finished reformating
.Michel

I have a lesson observation; a laptop and a Promethean whiteboard ( not interactive) will be made available for use during the lesson observation.
I have just started the free online Promethean training and have not used a Promethean whiteboard; so i have prepared my lesson on powerpoint Please kindly put me through how to teach the lesson using powerpoint on Promethean whiteboard. Thank you. Angela |
