I am looking for advice as to how to download a photograph from the internet onto a flip chart. I'm sure its really easy - but I haven't found out how. Any help out there?

Right click on the image you want, click on copy. Then choose your pointer tool, right mouse click and click on paste. Insert media will just add a link.

Copy and paste should work on a Mac too. Another shortcut on a PC is just to drag it from the internet onto your flipchart page (this does an automatic copy and paste).

Hi Sandra.
Just to steer on the side of caution, I would double check that the picture isn't copyright protected prior to downloading ![]() There are some great copyright guidelines on Planet if you're interested, but if you're submitting your flipchart to Planet and aren't sure, why not search some of the hundreds of resource packs that we have on Planet? |

What I couldn't tell in the copyright guidelines or in the guidelines for submission of flip to Planet, was whether it's safe to use pictures that are "labeled for reuse", found on Google, giving their title and attributing them to their source (such as flickr.com). I would like to submit some flips, wonder if copyright/permission is still a problem if I'm careful as above.
This isn't related to the beginning topic, though it is to the above post. Sorry, but I couldn't find a better place. Last edited by dsmccracken; 26-05-2010 at 05:55 PM. |
